CHHS PAWS for a CAUSE

PAWS for a Cause is our December Charity Fundraiser that’s been going on for years. Every high school has one. However, ours is incredibly unique because unlike all the schools in our district who choose and donate to one charity, we donate to people who are connected to the Copper Hills community. The money we collect is put into an account so year round we are able to make donations to those in need.  We’ve paid for multiple medical bills for various reasons and we’ve helped pay for funerals. Recently a family with two sons, both of which were Copper Hills alumni and diagnosed with cancer, reached out to us after their youngest son passed away. Not only did they have to pay off the bills of that son and his funeral, but continued to help pay for their oldest son’s medication. We were able to help ease their load whilst they were grieving. Along with those, we also buy Christmas presents for families who can’t afford it. There are kids at our school, your classmates, who are a part of these families. Not only do we buy them presents, we buy them clothes, shoes, and other necessities.
PAWS for a Cause has been the most humbling experience. And it has made me two things. 1. It made me incredibly grateful for everything I have been blessed with. And 2. It has made me want to work 100 times
harder to raise money for those in need. Last year we raised $87,513.13, nearly doubling our school record. We raised more than Bingham last year and they were furious. I would love to infuriate them again, and I know we are capable of doing so. Please help us raise as much money as possible by clicking on this link or scan the QR Code!
