Congrats to Scott Pace the 2025 UHSAA Girl's Wrestling Coach of the Year

CHHS administration, staff and student body would like to congratulate Coach Scott Pace of the girls wrestling team for an outstanding achievement. Scott has been recognized by the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) as the 2025 UHSAA Girls Wrestling Coach of the Year.

Scott, a Copper Hills HS graduate himself, has been coaching wrestling at Copper Hills since 2008 when he started off his coaching career with the boys wrestling team. In 2021, when the UHSAA made girls wrestling a sanctioned sport in Utah, Scott was asked to captain the new program and get girls wrestling started at CHHS. His teams have achieved 3 state runner-up titles and a state title in 2024. Because of his leadership, CHHS has become one of the most respected girls high school wrestling programs in the state. What makes Scott special as a coach is his ability to get kids to believe in themselves and perform well above what their natural athletic abilities are. He does this by building kids up in a positive manner and showing them how amazing they are no matter what level of athlete they may be. Congratulations Coach Pace and thank you for your tireless dedication to the student-athletes of CHHS!
