Coursework

Dear Students, Parents, Guardians, & Families,

With the transition to online, please be patient with me as I also try to figure out how to best serve the students. All coursework and information will be accessible through canvas.   The general format will be to watch the videos while taking notes.  Just as we would do in class, you will then use the notes to complete the assignments (in Canvas as .pdf files).  You will then take a picture of your completed homework and upload them to canvas (preferred) or email them to me as an attachment (acceptable, but not preferred).

Chromebooks.  If you are in need of a chrome book the school is checking them out to students. Come to the school between 7:00 am -3:00 pm, Tuesday March 17th to Friday March 20th in the Media Center.

I know that the end of the quarter is coming up (next Thursday and that changes how we would normally make-up/retake missing/late work) I have outlined some things below.

Last day to submit anything for 3rd quarter is March 25th

I am working to update your grades in Skyward and they should be up to date by Friday.

Test Retakes: instead of retaking the test at home, I will allow you to do test corrections. Test corrections will be emailed to me at [email protected]

What will be required for each question missed will be:

  1. What the question was
  2. What you answered
  3. The correct answer
  4. Why the answer is correct

Missing Tests: If you were absent for a test, please email me ([email protected]) and we can figure out the best way to move forward.

Late work:  If you have late work to turn in please email me (at the above email) a picture of all the pages OR come into the school to quickly drop them off Wednesday 7:30-3:00 p.m.

Moving Forward: Starting Monday the new material will be put on 4th quarter’s grades. Everything will be due a certain date, so it is important that you keep an eye on canvas and when everything is due.  Not everything will be available at once. Every other day there will be a new “Module” AKA “Lesson” that will need to be completed. No new modules will be assigned on the weekend.

Thank you for your patience as all of us are trying to navigate these new times.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Mr. Waddoups
