Hello All Choirs,

 

Yes.  We have been instructed to do teaching and learning online and remotely...even in choir.  The administration understands that we will not be able to accomplish our primary goal of becoming accomplished singers and performers of a choir in a traditional sense.  So, the plan moving forward…

 

I am learning how to use Canvas...please be patient with me while I try this.  I will be uploading an “End of 3^rd Quarter” module to each class.  The assignments that we are looking at:

 

1.  Continue to record practice points.  For this you will continue to use your music, vocal exercises and the following websites: www.musictheory.net , www.teoria.com

 

2.  We will do a Concert Report on the pieces that we prepared in lieu of the concert that was cancelled.

 

3.  We will all do a Class Work Make-up Assignment in which you will use YouTube to do a write up on three performances (songs) by a reputable choir.

 

4. Possible reading assignment.

 

For #1 & 2 you will need to have your music with you.  If you do not have it then you will need to come pick it up from the choir room.  Students are allowed in the building to pick-up and drop-off things.  Please use the main entrance doors.  I will be here all day tomorrow from 8am – 2:30pm and the room will be open for you to grab your folder and go.

 

If the closure period extends beyond two weeks we will talk about working on the new music and other assignments; but, we hope that we will all be able to come back soon and bask in music making.
